HILLSBORO, Ohio - The National Weather Service said Thursday that a weak tornado touched down late Wednesday night in Highland County. Tim Davis said he believed it was a miracle that no one in his neighborhood was hurt when the tornado touched down.

"The wind just came across real hard and it shook the whole house and it was over," Davis said.
No warning was posted at the time of the twister. The tornado, touching down near Rocky Fork Lake, tore down trees and caused damage on Wizard of Oz Drive, NBC 4's Duarte Geraldino reported.
Eddie Sandlin and his children were inside their home when they were directly hit.
"My wife threw my kinds down onto the floor and I took my dad and threw him to the floor and I just sat there and watched the roof and everything blow away," Sandlin said.
The NWS reported that wind speeds exceeded 60 mph.
Sandlin said winds tore the front porch off, spinning it around his house before it landed in the pool, causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
No injuries were reported.
