
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Don Jorde. He was born in Bismarck, ND on November 11, 1931 to George and Alice Jorde. After graduating High School in Mandan, ND, Don served in the 187th Infantry Regiment of the North Dakota Army National Guard during the Korean conflict. Don graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology and was an Architectural Draftsman and Principal Estimator for Drake Marble Company for 40 years. Dad was surrounded by family when he ended his battle with emphysema on June 14, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Christina Marie Jorde. Don is survived by his loving, selfless and devoted wife Janice Jorde; ex wife and friend of seventy years Corajean Jorde Hagen; five children and their partners James (Cheryl ) Jorde, Jana (Doug) Boxx, Nancy (James) Pearson, Sara Jorde (Lenice Gregory), Jennifer Jorde (Bruce Belden); stepchildren James (Kathy) Juetten, Joanne Mazoleny and Jon (Ansim) Juetten. He will always be Grandpa Hootie to seventeen grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren. Dad's love for his family was palpable and we are all thankful for the time we had with him. Visitation will be Monday June 18th from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday June 19, 2007 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour before the service. All will be held at Gearhart Funeral Home (763-755-6300) 11275 Foley Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Lung Association or Axis on St. Michael (651-357- 1107) in honor of Angelina Mazoleny.
